Join Beth Malone and friends for a one-night only event entitled “Joy Bomb” that she describes as “a very eclectic song list” ranging from an old-school Judy Garland arrangement (“Just in Time”) to country to pop to show tunes.

Outdoor Lawn Seating is limited to 125 guests due to space restrictions.  If you plan to join us, please RSVP to rsvp@lakedillontheatre.org. We are able to welcome the first 125 RSVPs due to Summit County and Town of Silverthorne event attendance guidance. Any reservation requests received after we meet our 125 limit will be added to a “Wait list,” and we will contact you if space opens up.


Beth Malone was nominated for a 2015 Tony Award and Grammy for her game-changing role of “Alison” in Fun Home. Malone most recently starred as the titular character in the world premiere of The Unsinkable Molly Brown, directed by Kathleen Marshall at the MUNY. She originated the role of June Carter Cash in Ring of Fire on Broadway, as well as the roles of Betty Jean in The Marvelous Wonderettes and Alison in Bingo off-Broadway. Other off-Broadway and regional credits include Fun Home (The Public Theater), Annie Get Your Gun (CMT) and Sister Act (Alliance Theatre). On film, Malone can be seen in Taylor Hackford’s The Comedian, co-starring opposite Robert DeNiro and Edie Falco. Other film credits include Hick with Eddie Redmayne, Twist of Faith, The Interview and Brittany Runs A Marathon opposite Jillian Bell. Her television television credits include Braindead, Bull, The Good Wife, Reno 911, Judging Amy, Laying Low, What’s On?, One Minute Soaps and the Fox pilot Second Nature.


Sonya Meyer is thrilled to return to Lake Dillon Theatre where she recently performed her solo show, “A Cabaret for Climate.” This year Sonya was nominated for a Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical for TRTC’s production of The Doyle and Debbie Show. Recent credits include Lake Dillon: Bad Jews (Melody), TRTC: Of Mice and Men (Curley’s Wife), Kimberly Akimbo (Debra), Dead Man’s Cell Phone (Jean), ACT: Spamalot (Lady of the Lake), Glenwood Vaudeville Revue, 5th Ave Theatre: Oklahoma! (Gertie Cummings), Titanic; Theatre Barn: Taffetas (Kaye), as well as traveling the world as a production vocalist with Celebrity Cruises. Sonya works throughout the Roaring Fork Valley as a director, improv teacher and ski instructor for Aspen Skiing Company. She would like to thank Beth, David and Damian for all the laughs and her fiancé Nick for all the love.

Damian Smith arrived in Aspen from Chicago, IL in 1996. His musical background includes experience in teaching, producing, and composing, all while performing roughly 200 public and private functions a year with his band “True Story”. Since moving to the Roaring Fork Valley, Damian has contributed vocal, guitar and songwriting skills to album projects for local bands “Little Blue” and Aspen’s “Take The Wheel”. He has also performed on CD and DVD projects with John Oates of the legendary Pop duo Hall & Oates. Damian released his first solo album in 1995 entitled “Rise & Shine” and in 2006 completed his second solo effort entitled “Altitunes”, co-produced by Richard Hathaway of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Damian has appeared on stage and in the studio with the likes of Jimmy Ibbotson (The Dirt Band), David Crosby, The Freddy Jones Band, guitar virtuosos Jerry Douglas & Jeff Pevar, Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Steppenwolf, Dread Zeppelin, The Ides Of March, Survivor, The BoDeans, Matt Nelson (The Nelson Bros.), Paris Delane (Sonia Dada), Jim Capaldi (Traffic), Natalie Cole and the fabulous Beth Malone.

David Dyer, Music Director, has been working in the field of musical theatre and cabaret performances for more than 40 years. He holds a degree in music education from The University of Northern Colorado.  He’s worked for numerous summer stock, regional, and community theaters. He resides and freelances in Aspen, CO, where he was the music director at the renowned Crystal Palace for over twenty years.  His arranging credits are diverse, including arrangements for solo singers, choral groups, and various instrumental ensembles.  His talents have taken him to many places in the world, including 30 years in Mykonos, Greece, the Wexford Festival in Ireland, and concert cabaret tours of Germany and Switzerland. In 2012-2013 he completed an international tour as Associate Conductor of PETER PAN starring Cathy Rigby.  He is pleased to collaborate once again with the fabulous Beth Malone!
