ASSISTANT COMPANY MANAGER

Theatre SilCo is an Equity theatre in Silverthorne, Colorado currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Assistant Company Manager for the 2024 Summer Season. Productions include: Ken Ludwig’s Moriarty: A New Sherlock Holmes Mystery, The Amish Project, and The Legend of Georgia McBride.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee coordination, set up, and maintenance of all company needs for the summer season for all visiting artists. Ensure company housing apartments are prepared as required per discussions with the artistic staff. Each interaction with company members must reflect professional attention to detail from the set up of housing apartments to greeting visiting artists and transporting artists via company shuttle.  

DEPARTMENT SUPPORT: The Assistant Company Manager will report to the Production/Company Manager. The Assistant Company Manager will support visiting artists during the contract dates and any job responsibilities on special events as assigned. Working with the rest of the artistic staff to ensure all company requirements for each production/event meets all specifications per discussions with the artistic staff, as well as overseeing housing and travel throughout the course of the contract. 

MAINTENANCE: Supervise maintenance of all company management equipment, including vacuum, iron, any dishes, bedding, etc. Coordinate with visiting artists when they need to check out company management equipment.

END OF SEASON: Clean, pack up, and put away all summer company management equipment back in storage at end of season or end of visiting artist contract.

QUALIFICATIONS: BFA or BA in technical theatre, theatre management, or equivalent work experience. Valid Driver’s License. Some customer service or company management experience is preferred. Must display a positive attitude with a focus on people and community. Demonstrate professional conduct at all times. Strong leadership skills. Proficient oral and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMAND: This job requires climbing stairs and using ladders. There is also a certain amount of lifting and carrying of weights of up to approximately 40 lbs.

$550-$650/wk DOE
Housing and Travel provided
Ability to bring vehicle a plus
