Sonya Meyer
Sonya is thrilled to be returning to Lake Dillon Theatre, previously seen in Bad Jews (Melody) and as a New Year’s Cabaret performer. A Washington state native and transplant from NYC; Sonya holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Theatre from Oklahoma City University with an emphasis in Vocal Performance and Acting. Favorite regional credits include TRTC: Of Mice and Men (Curley’s Wife), Kimberly Akimbo (Debra), Dead Man’s Cell Phone (Jean), ACT: Spamalot (Lady of the Lake), Glenwood Vaudeville Revue (Performer), 5th Ave Theatre: Oklahoma! (Gertie Cummings), Titanic (Ensemble), Theatre Barn: Taffetas (Kaye), NYC: MadLibs Live! (Virtuosa), as well as traveling the world as a production vocalist with Celebrity Cruises. A two-time winner of the National Foundation for Achievement in the Arts in Opera and Musical Theatre and Best Leading and Featured Actress in the 5th Avenue Musical Theatre Awards. Sonya is a graduate of the NYC Upright Citizens’ Brigade professional improv program and a proud member of TRTC’s Consensual Improv Troupe. Sonya also works as a director and improv teacher around the Roaring Fork Valley.
