She was also the only American in Lincoln Center’s South Pacific UK Tour, also as Bloody Mary.  She has performed the role in regional productions all over the country, including at La Mirada last year where she received an LA Ovation nomination. Early this year, she reprised her role as Mrs. Kipfer in an industry presentation in New York City of Tim Rice’s new musical, Broadway hopeful, From Here To Eternity, which she originally performed last year at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine. Also last year, she was seen in If All The Sky Were Paper alongside Annette Benning at the Musco Center for Performing Arts (also performed at the Kirk Douglas, LA and the Kennedy Center in D.C.) and as Rosie in Mamma Mia at Sacramento Music Circus and at the Merry Go Round Playhouse in NY.  Jodi’s performed in regional houses all over the US and the UK. Favorite roles include: Woman 3 (World Goes Round,) Vicky (Full Monty), Sonia (Godspell), Mary (Jesus Christ Superstar), Madame Giry, (Phantom of the Opera), Melpomene, (Xanadu), Mad Margaret (Ruddigore), and Tessa (Gondoliers), the last two at the Colorado Gilbert and Sullivan Festival under the direction of the late, great John Reed, OBE, former principal comedian of the D’Oyly Carte. She also had the great privilege of being handpicked by Olympia Dukakis to play Juno in Ms. Dukakis’s iteration of The Tempest at Orlando Shakespeare Festival and at the Alpine Theatre Project in MT.  She got her BA and MM from the University of Colorado, Boulder and performed at the Crystal Palace in Aspen for many years. Special thanks to Chris and everyone here. And much love to mom, the J’s, her family and friends and her girlfriend, Amber-Sky Skipps. Say hi to Jodi at jodikimura.com!
